Dering has assisted scientific enterprises in strategy development.

For USGS, we facilitated the team proceedings of the LandCarbon Team, a group of two dozen scientists charged by US Congress with establishing an assessment methodology for greenhouse gas absorption by the natural environment through the year 2050.

We also guided the Science Strategy Development process for the entire agency, helping to align all research activities under seven major science directions.
