Dering Helps Local Leaders Develop Skills

12.27.2011 - Throughout 2011, Dering designed, developed, and delivered a leadership academy series of courses entitled "Authority Leadership for the Future" for emerging managers of public authorities. Skill advancement and training topics included:

• Leadership Essentials (including management and supervisory best practices)
• Ethics and Accountability
• Communicating with Confidence
• Conflict Management, and
• Dealing with Difficult Behavior

The Leadership Academy, which is still under way, is a five-part series of interactive classroom training sessions. The training materials featured components of popular leadership-oriented literature and leadership/personality style assessments.
