Balanced Scorecard
We have adopted the Balanced Scorecard approach to strategic planning following the work of Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton. This method improves on traditional strategic planning by helping organizational leadership more effectively focus strategic direction and align all parts of the organization with that direction.
The Balanced Scorecard approach supports strategic focus by organizing leadership vision and priorities within four interdependent perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth.
Results:
- An actionable leadership strategic plan
- Alignment of the strategic plan with operational initiatives
- A link between budget cycle and strategic planning cycle
- A process to measure and monitor the objectives in the strategic plan
